Dr. Ujjal Bhattacharjee, a postdoctoral researcher at Rice University, lost his beautiful wife and partner, Sudipta Roy. They met in college in India, and she traveled with him to Ames Iowa and Iowa State University for his PhD, and to Houston Texas at Rice University as a postdoc, all to enable his goal to become a Chemistry Professor. Their Rice insurance covers much of the cost to take Sudipta back home to India, but Ujjal will need help to cover other expenses such as his travel back home to accompany her and shipping her belongings. They are both wonderful, kind, brilliant people who, for example, volunteered during Hurricane Harvey to help strangers. Can we help Ujjal take care of Sudipta?
