My Dog Needs Eye Surgery...

Hello,

My name is Jay and I am starting this GoFundMe for my rescue Archer.

He is a 9 year old mutt from Taiwan and thus far has been pretty healthy. Unfortunately one of his eyes suddenly started swelling up and after a visit to the vet and a referral to the emergency, we found out he has gone blind in that eye.

We had hoped medications would control the swelling at least but it has only done so minimally and the vet advised we look at removing it before it swells too much and he is unable to close his eyelids over it. The surgery will cost from 4000-5000.

My family and I are struggling to come up with the money in general, much less how soon the vet advised us to get it done.

I love him so much and the idea that he is needing this done is really hard but I know it needs to be done before exposure injury. It will also help us find out if this may happen to the other eye and prepare for it in the future.

I wish I was in a position to handle this on my own but I've run out of options. Thank you for your support, whether you share or donate.
