Twice Blessed our Twins : Cayci and Cydney
Donation protected
On March 16th, while sitting at my desk at work, I sensed something was off causing me to immediately get up to head to the bathroom in which I confirmed I was bleeding a lot of blood and it wasn’t stopping. At this point I didn’t know what to make of it all I just knew I needed to get help and get it quick. I immediately called my husband Dwight to meet to me at the car thankfully we both work in downtown west palm. My co-worker swiftly drove me to my car. My husband and I immediately then headed to the closest hospital which is Good Samaritan.
Upon arriving the staff immediately admitted me with no hesitation once I explained what was happening. They were swift in getting me on the monitors to figure out what was occurring. They quickly realized my blood pressure was very elevated so high in fact that it caused a blood vessel to burst hence the bleeding. My platelets were also high causing preeclampsia which explained the blood clot that my body released while I was in the bathroom. They tested me over the next 24 hours trying to bring down my blood pressure so that I could transfer to Palms West where my OBGYN would be able to take over.
I didn’t realize until the next day that the blood pressure spike was also causing me to have contractions that they were attempting to decrease as well. Although they fought hard to prevent a emergency c-section. My blood culture came back reflecting that my kidneys were now possibly being affected by all of this and once the doctor saw that the medical staff immediately moved to preparing me for a emergency C-Section.
They handled my C-Section perfectly while also handling both of our girls and I with the best care. On March 17th, Twin A- Cayci Lili Williams was born at 2lbs 12oz at 2:47pm and Twin B - Cydney Mae Williams was born at 2lbs 1oz at 2:48pm both are alive and healthy.
That same night they were transferred to the NICU at St Mary’s to ensure they get the absolute best care they possibly can get. I never thought waking up on March 16th that the next day on St.Patrick’s day I would be delivering our two girls two months early. I however am beyond blessed that God not only saved my life but both of our girls life as well. They are fighters and we have a slogan for them courtesy of all of their nurses that “They are Tiny but Feisty”.
We are asking for financial assistance to help cover the medical costs that will come from all of this. Any little donation helps. Thank you so much in advance for your donation and I will be sure to keep you updated on here of their journey as they both gain the strength and weight needed in order to be discharged so that my husband Dwight and I to bring them home. Our girls are living testimonies and we are beyond blessed to call ourselves their parents.
