Earlier this week, our beloved father, brother, father-in-law, and newly proud grandfather, Erik Evenstad, was involved in a horrific and life-altering motor vehicle accident. He was airlifted to the hospital and is currently in the critical care unit, where he continues to fight every day with incredible strength.

Erik sustained multiple serious injuries, including significant facial trauma, multiple rib fractures, a spinal fracture, and traumatic brain bleeding and injury. While his medical team is working tirelessly to care for him, his condition is still evolving, and we do not yet know what his long-term recovery will look like. What we do know is that the road ahead will be long, complex, and demanding — emotionally, physically, and financially.

As a family, we are doing our best to navigate extended hospital stays far from home, ongoing medical decisions, and the realities of work and caring for our newborn babies, all while showing up for Erik as he begins this difficult recovery. The mental and financial weight of this situation is growing, and any support during this time would mean more than we can put into words.

Funds raised through this campaign will help ease the burden of extended hospitalization and recovery, travel expenses, time away from work, and the many unforeseen costs that accompany a catastrophic injury. While so much remains uncertain, this support allows us to focus on being present for Erik and advocating for his care as his needs become clearer.
