Donazione protetta
At this very moment, Kayla Kronfeld and Mauricio, Gabe, and Elizabeth Badillo Moorman, teachers and students at Great River School, are at the Brownsville/Matamoros border working with the asylum seekers who have been forced to wait in tents for as long as a year while they wait to have their asylum cases processed. About 50% of the camp "residents" are children under the age of 14. We are working with Ayudándoles a Triunfar (Helping Them Succeeed), an all-volunteer organization that is the only one on the Mexican side of the border providing desperately-needed support for the asylum seekers. We have created this GoFund Me page to raise funds to bring donations (physical and monetary) to the organization and to the children. All funds raised through this site are used for this purpose.
Your support is needed now more than ever, and we cannot thank you enough for being with us on this journey to support our fellow humans. Build bridges, not walls. Share love, not hate.
In Partnership,
Kayla, Mauricio, Gabe, and Elizabeth

"The Angry Tias and Abuelas’ mission is to advocate for dignity and justice for individuals and families seeking asylum at our borders. As [the migrants] embark on their journeys to destinations across the U.S., our aim is to assure their basic health and safety needs are met. We provide emergency assistance such as food, water, clothing, toiletries, logistical support and cash funds when needed to those recently released from ICE custody at bus depots or shelters in Brownsville and McAllen. We inform asylum seekers of their rights as they await entry across international bridges and give direct financial support to refugee shelters in the Rio Grande Valley and select immigrant shelters in Matamoros and Reynosa"
