As you all know, I run the Facebook page, The Georgia Independent, a page that exposes government corruption and politicians.
Exposing, at times, costs money and we have costs racking up. Over the past year, I've usually covered all the fees, but as my page has grown, so have the tips that have come in.
In the local area, they are also seeing the reach of the page. What used to be free, we are now being charged for because they know the exposure they are receiving.
Every penny goes to help, not fully cover, all the open records requests. We post all the receipts and all funds go to a business account for tracking and are considered income for the company.
Also, we are filing a case against Chris Carr in Fulton Superior Court challenging the legality of Flock Camera data not being open to public inspection, at least at the level to request your own information and how it's being used. That alone is going to be an expense to exceed $5,000.00.
Anything helps and we appreciate every single reader and donor.
