As many of you know, Nick has been battling end-stage liver disease for the better part of 3 years. Things took a turn for the worse in 2024 when he was put on hospice and given 2-3 months to live, and it’s been an all-consuming struggle since. Despite the odds, he’s persevered and remains steadfast in his commitment to getting healthy. He currently requires 24/7 support care, preventing me, his wife, from being able to return to work.

We’re currently preparing for Nick to have a risky procedure that, if successful, would finally give him back his quality of life. If unsuccessful, Nick has been pre-approved to receive a liver transplant. This is exciting news but not without its own challenges, as the specialists are all out of town, requiring travel and possible lodging for his family. Additionally, new diagnoses have led doctors to firmly insist that Nick cannot be put under any stress as it could exacerbate his symptoms and potentially delay life-saving procedures. So, it’s with a heavy heart that we admit that we need financial assistance to ensure that we can continue to provide Nick with everything he needs and remove any financial stress from his life so that we can solely focus on getting him healthy and thriving again.
