Hello, my name is Kristin, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my daughter Katie and her three young children (ages 6, 3, and 20 months), who are facing an unimaginable hardship.

My son-in-law—a Dream Act immigrant who has lived and worked here since 2001, paying taxes and caring for his family—was recently detained by ICE. He has been sent to a detention center in Bakersfield due to a missing document. Katie, a stay-at-home mom, is now left to care for their kids alone without income or transportation, as their car was totaled in an accident caused by an unmarked federal agent during the detainment.

This campaign will help cover immediate expenses like rent, utilities, childcare needs, food, and transportation to legal appointments. We also hope to raise funds for any legal support or bail needs, should the opportunity arise.
