Hello Everyone,

I am writing this note on behalf of my mom, Dong Ming, who is battling stage IV kidney cancer. My mom has been the sole provider for my brother and I. Over the years, she raised us and provided us 120% support. She has been selflessly giving us everything she could afford and not spent any money on her self. She has been such a blessing to my brother and me. She was diagnosed with stage IV kidney cancer since this May. Her conditions are worsening every day. She has been hospitalized since June. She had a complete nephrectomy of her right kidney. Her tumor has spread to her bones and lungs. She is on tube feeding only.

Doctor has informed us that immunotherapy may be the only option if biopsy test results show possibilities of cancer cells can be effectively targeted. Medical insurance will not cover any immunotherapy or related costs due to my mom's inability to receive chemotherapy prior to immunotherapy.

We have been paying $42/day for 24/7 care person to take care of my mom since June. Doctor advised to purchase protein injections (PRP) to boost my mom's own platelets to promote healing and reduce pain. Protein injections are $110/day. Blood culture tests to rule out infection was $930. We also sent in kidney tissues for biopsy yesterday. The cost for biopsy was $570. Total hospital stays fee in Chinese RMB for months of June and three weeks of July was 61,000. Remaining week of July through the date mom passed away on August 22nd was another 32,000. Total hospital fee other than care person fees and biopsy and protein injections was $13,285,72. Combining with care person costs, we have paid $22,750 through August.

Due to the rapidly growing large medical expenses, none of our family member could help. I have been the sole payor for all my mom's medical expenses. I try to stay strong but with the increasing bills I have found myself struggling to pay . We have exhausted all means and would appreciate your help on this effort. I know God loves his children and that I will find a way to save my mom or at least give her some comfort in her last days. Would you consider helping us to save my mom?

8/28 updates: Mom passed away on 8/22. This devastated my brother and me. As we are sinking in deep grief, brother found out Dad has late stage Alzheimer's disease. This is most difficult period for my brother and me both emotionally and financially. As we continue to navigate, please keep us in your prayers. I believe the power of prayers. I pray and talk to God and mom every night after she pass. It greatly comforts me and propels me to keep going.

We will appreciate if you could help out for burial cost and my trip back home to bury mom.
