As many of you may know, I began this fundraiser in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, which brought unimaginable devastation to Jamaica. Countless families were left without homes, basic necessities, or a sense of stability. Tragically, my own family was among those directly affected, as the heart of the storm destroyed their livelihoods and displaced their community.
At this time, communication and transportation across the island remain extremely limited. Basic necessities such as clean water, toiletries, and hygiene products are increasingly scarce, and many areas are still without power or running water. Humanitarian relief has been slow and, in some locations, has come to a standstill. Despite these challenges, supplies including building materials, generators, tarps, and emergency water systems have been sent to support recovery efforts.
If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps my family and their community rebuild and regain stability.
