On Friday, October 17th, my sister Cari was tragically taken from us in a fatal car accident caused by a wrong-way driver. She was just 24 years old. Cari leaves behind her beautiful 4-year-old son, Tsai, who was the light of her life and her proudest accomplishment.

Our family is heartbroken beyond words. Cari’s passing has left an emptiness in our hearts and the home that my sister and I shared with our kids that can never be filled. She was deeply loved by so many, her family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to know her. Cari was an incredible sister, daughter, mother, and friend. She had such a giving heart and was always the first to lend a helping hand. She was so creative, funny, and loved to learn how to do things by herself. She could DIY anything and was always able to learn a new skill so quickly. She brought laughter and energy wherever she went, the life of the party and the one who could turn any ordinary moment into an adventure. Cari loved to travel and was so proud to be finishing her sonography program, excited for the bright future ahead of her and her son.

We are reaching out for help as we face the unexpected costs of laying Cari to rest. Funds will go toward making sure her last event is one worthy of having her name attached to it, and travel arrangements from Arizona to Virginia where her service will be.
