Hi my name is Amanda. A year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. In the beginning, I was told that it was fine and I would get a lumpsectomy. How quickly that changed! I ended up going through 8 rounds of chemotherapy. I got a double mastectomy, 29 rounds of radiation, and 2 major infections. Also, the cancer spread, so during the mastectomy, they also removed the lymph nodes on my right side.
During my treatmeant, my job let me go. I cried.
Every day. There's nothing sadder than your son holding you everyday telling you It will be okay. It's one of the most life changing things that's ever happened to me and I don't really like to talk about this. Its affected me not only financially, but mentally.
Anyway, I am struggling right now and I would appreciate any help I could get. I am looking for a job, but unfortunately I haven't had any luck. Also, my TDI has run out. I am not typically the person that would ask for help, but at this point I'm feeling hopeless, and just need to get back on my feet and begin living life again.
