Hi, I’m Christine Bettis, and I am excited to launch this fundraiser.

For more than two years, Izzy (6 yrs old) and Zara's (5 yrs old) owner tried to find a better situation for his two beloved girls. During that time, he faced difficult circumstances, including the loss of a good job and the breakup of his family. Although he eventually found stable employment and was once again able to provide for himself and the dogs, his work often kept him away from home for up to 12 hours a day. He knew Izzy and Zara deserved more time, attention, and stability than he could give them, and that is where HART stepped in to help.

Once they arrived in foster care, HART began evaluating their medical needs. We discovered there were no veterinary or vaccination records available. Also, Izzy also had a small growth on her back that required removal and was thankfully found to be non-cancerous. Both girls were suffering from internal parasites (not heartworms) and had not yet been spayed. Finally, they received professional grooming to help show off their sweet personalities and adorable looks.

HART has provided comprehensive veterinary care for Izzy and Zara, including vaccinations, deworming, diagnostic testing, X-rays, surgery, spay procedures, and grooming. They are now recovering well in their foster home in Indiana and enjoying the care and comfort they deserve. The cost of their medical care has totaled nearly $2,000, and HART is asking for financial support to help offset these expenses.
