On the early morning of Sunday, September 13, 2026, an irreplaceable light was stolen from us. Chance Lee Martin was walking after a night celebrating the Cats with his fellow Kentuckians when a driver at the University of Kentucky hit him and ran, leaving his family with broken hearts and confusion.
Chance was a remarkable young man. A recent graduate of Holy Cross High School, his fellow students, friends, and family remember him as the person who lights up a room just by walking into it. He was someone who would give the shirt off his back for those he loved. He was loyal, kind, athletic, and someone who just wanted everyone to feel loved and included. Chance showed his hard work through continuing his education at NKU while holding a full time job. He had so many dreams and ambitions that will never be forgotten.
We ask for any financial help during this time as his single father pays for this unexpected funeral. Any left over will help his grieving and heart shattered father be able to take time off work to process this unimaginable tragedy.
Thank you, and God Bless.

For those who would prefer to contribute directly toward Chance's funeral expenses, donations may also be made directly to the funeral home in Chance's name. The family is grateful for every act of kindness, support, and generosity as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
