Three transition year students from St. John Bosco Community College, Kildysart, Brian Conway, Olive Quinn and Sarah McGee are delighted to be selected to travel to Missionvale, South Africa as volunteers in February 2027. St. John Bosco Community College has strong links with Missionvale and this will be the school's eleventh time sending students to participate in the project with 27 students having availed of this wonderful, unique experience, to date. When in Missionvale, the students will have the opportunity to work in the Missionvale Care Centre, in the school, in the garden and in the Nutrition centre as well as visiting the Township where the people live.

None of the improvements and developments in Missionvale would have happened without the vision and determination of Sr. Ethel Normoyle (RIP) and the support she received from others especially the people of Ireland and Co. Clare. Thankfully Sr. Ethel had the vision to empower others to continue the great work she started and today the Missionvale Care Centre continues to serve the impoverished community of Missionvale.
