Send Wyoming Youth Climate Advocates to D.C.

Success thanks to you! This fundraiser supports four Cody Wyoming high-schoolers and their three chaperones to Washington D.C. to lobby for climate-friendly policies this June as part of national Citizens' Climate Lobby's Student Summit, Conference, and Lobby Day. Non-partisan Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) empowers everyday people to work within their communities and members of Congress on climate change solutions. We will be advocating for Wyoming friendly solutions to climate change such as support for climate-adaptive agriculture practices and energy permitting reform. The students are members of Cody CAN Youth in which students learn about the lawmaking process and then create bills. The club then lobbies for those bills at the State Legislature in order to make changes to the state of Wyoming laws that benefit our citizens. This fundraiser fosters an even more expansive experience for the Wyoming students by allowing them to lobby our federal Senators and Representative on bipartisan climate solutions.

Funds will be use to help defray costs of airline travel and lodging for the students and their chaperones.
