Help & Love for Shelly

If you’ve ever been to my house, you may have been told “just don’t make eye contact with him and you’ll be fine”. Or maybe you saw his award winning smiling and wasn’t sure if he was happy to see you or wanted to eat you. But once you get to know him, he is the absolute greatest, sweetest, silliest, and most loyal best friend.

Hershel (better known as Shelly) is going through the unthinkable. After Chris brought him for a visit to the vet, they found a concerning mass and an unknown type of cancer. He has been getting various tests, blood panels, and procedures done in Los Angeles and Tijuana to get more answers to see what next steps will be. As you all know, boarding at an emergency hospital and overall vet bills quickly begin multiplying.

In addition to emotional support and any positive thoughts, it would be SO very appreciated to help give some financial peace of mind so Chris can focus on Shelly’s healing and overall wellbeing. This journey is a hard one but we have faith that with some treatment and medicine, Shelly can continue living a comfortable life.

Chris rescued Shelly from being a tiny lil street dog and he joined Chris, Nick, and I on our trek from New York to LA. Shelly spent his whole life with Eli and I am so grateful my perfect, air-headed little man had Shelly through all the good times and all the bad. We all love Shelly more than anything on this earth and if you have anything to contribute or the ability to share this with others, we would so greatly appreciate it. Shelly is Chris’s most prized possession and we are all hoping and praying for the best. thank you <3
