Sea Wall Thorntonloch Caravan Site

Hi my name is Mandy, I am a static owner at Thorntonloch Caravan Site. The site has been here since 1962 which consists of 56 statics, 10 touring pitches and tent pitches. Visitors return year after year and regulars returning after decades of visiting us. The site is run by Thornton Loch Residents Association who are a non profit association and we lease the land fron East Lothian Council. Unfortunately the sea defences have been hit hard 3 times since October with rising sea levels and high tides bringing debris onto the site and flooding of touring pitches. We have financed extensive repairs and maintence of the sea defences and prevented flooding onto the site from Thornton Burn but both are ongoing issues. We have had quotes to repair and upgrade the sea defence for approximately £100k which we have been unable to get grants or funding towards. As we lease the land from the council we are responsible for these costs. I am appealing for any donations towards these costs and we all will be truly grateful for any help towards these repairs.
