Save Layla's Life

Donation protected
Her tags read, "Like a fool, I fell in love with you."

I didn't name her Layla based off the Derek and the Dominos/Eric Clapton classic, but it worked out pretty swell. (Layla is a derivative of "Lelia," which means night.) It was her dark eyes, the "new car" sheen of her black fur, that sold me from the moment we headed home.

At 12 weeks old, she's fighting for her life.

Parvovirus is deadly in dogs if not treated immediately. The highly-contagious virus is easily passed through feces and lives for years on the ground. Layla was up-to-date on her vaccinations, but parvo snuck itself through a small window of time and is now attacking her intestines.

There is no cure for parvovirus; Dogs fight it themselves. The survival rate is between 68-92%.

I need your help to pay for her treatment. Just three days of care costs over $4,000, but that is where my savings end; There is a chance she's in the hospital for up to a week.

I never knew what it was like to love something until I met her. My only hope is to raise money in case our three days run out.

Help me bring my Layla home.
