San Clemente island Goats Feed & Care
Donation protected
Nebraska is under water. Gretna is the home of the largest global herd of an endangered species of goats, the San Clemente Island Goats. Fellow Nebraskans have answered calls for help by showing up with trailers and literally saving them from drowning. The herd is over 250 goats strong. They have been moved to a foster farm.
We can never repay the tireless efforts of those that showed up. We are so appreciate the physical help, trailers, the foster farm, prayers and well wishers. It was no easy task. Hypothermia was a serious problem during the rescue. The responders were amazing and super heroes!
URGENT FUNDS ARE NEEDED
The goat’s food source has been destroyed or contaminated. Some of the goats will need medical care, medication & other supplies due to the contaminated water, stress, and evacuation. The fencing that contained them has been destroyed. The farm was not spared. There is so much work that needs to be done before they can return to the farm.
Any amount donated would be deeply appreciated. Please accept our deepest appreciation in advance for your consideration.
