SAFARI N SMILES JUNE 2022 DENTAL MISSION TRIP

My name is Morris Mugo. I am a Dental Hygienist in the Washington DC area and Founder of Safari N Smiles. 

I was born and raised in a small remote village on the slopes of Mt. Kenya in Eastern Kenya. Growing up as an Orphan and in poverty I saw and experienced first hand the devastating effects poor Oral health and medical health can cause in the life of Young kids and everyone in general. I have been incredibly lucky and blessed to eventually be able to immigrate and live in the USA. I have been able to attend school and start my family here too. My two boys, Ethan (2) and Ryan (9 months) and their super mom Lizzie reside outside of Washington DC. 

Despite the relatively comfortable life I have built for myself and my young family I have and will never forget where  grew up and where I came from.

As such, I have always wanted to give back to my community in Kenya where I grew up in. 

I started Safari N Smiles to enable me to show off Africa to my new found American family and friends while giving back to my community in Kenya.

One thing I decided to do was to take a dental/medical  mission trip to my village this June 2022.

In my over ambitious optimism, I grossly underestimated how much it costs to run a dental and medical mission trip especially in a place like Africa. My plan was to combine it with a low priced Safari and use the little extra from Safari to fund the mission trip. 

As such, we have the day of the mission set, June 4th and still need some help financially to make it happen. This will enable us to buy the supplies for the mission and rent some equipment.

In total we need atleast $6,000 and some supplies too which can be mailed to me for shipping to Kenya

Monetary donations go towards supporting the

 mission in renting dental instruments, transportation and other logistics of a mission trip like protective gears and sterilization.
