Our team, Jit Gami, Ashok Patel and Jit Patel are about to embark on a truly extraordinary adventure — a 1,700 km rickshaw (Tuk Tuk) drive across India, from Chhapaiya to Bhuj, as part of the Rickshaw Run 2026.

Over seven challenging days, we will be joining 28 teams from the UK and Africa driving one of the simplest vehicles on earth through busy cities, rural villages, and open countryside — all in the name of creating change.

This journey is more than a test of endurance; it’s a mission of compassion. Every kilometre we cover supports Make a Change Foundation’s eye camps in Kenya, which deliver sight-saving surgeries, eye tests, prescription glasses, and essential medication to people suffering from preventable blindness and poor vision.

For many individuals in remote areas, a simple pair of glasses or a 15-minute cataract operation can restore sight, dignity, and opportunity — allowing children to return to school, parents to work, and grandparents to see their families again.
