We are the Belmont Academy Alumni Association Limited, a legally registered non-profit organization based in Westmoreland, Jamaica.

As proud alumni of Belmont Academy, we have always been dedicated to uplifting our community through service, education, and compassion. Today, that same community is facing one of its greatest challenges. Hurricane Melissa has left widespread devastation across Westmoreland, destroying homes, displacing families, and causing extensive damage to Belmont Academy, a center of excellence that has shaped the lives of countless students and our alumni, and the extended community.

For us, this campaign is not just about rebuilding structures; it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for everyone affected.

This cause is deeply personal to us. Many of our members, classmates, and teachers have been directly impacted by the storm. We’ve seen firsthand the heartbreak of families who have lost everything and the resilience of those determined to rebuild.

That’s why we are launching this GoFundMe campaign with a goal of $20,000 USD to bring immediate relief and long-term recovery to our school and community.

How the funds raised will be used:

$4,000 (20%) – To repair classrooms, roofs, and learning spaces at Belmont Academy, and school supplies, ensuring students can safely return to school.

$5,000 (25%) – To assist displaced families with temporary housing, home repairs, and rebuilding materials.

$4,000 (20%) – To provide essential supplies such as food, clean water, hygiene products, clothing, flashlights, and batteries.

$4,000 (20%) – To support past students and members of our alumni community who lost materials, uniforms, and essential equipment.

$3,000 (15%) – To aid in community outreach programs that provide counseling, medical assistance, and local recovery coordination.
