Fund Our Community Kiln

We're Colchester Makerspace, a creative hub run by local artists and makers. We really need your help. Our trusty kiln is ready for retirement, and we're raising £10,000 to replace it with a new, energy-efficient model.

Why a new kiln?

It's the heart of our ceramics studio, and a modern kiln will let us continue to provide affordable access to vital tools while being kinder to the planet.

Here’s where we are:

— £3,000 has been generously pledged by the Hervey Benham Charitable Trust.

— £2,500 is being raised by our co-founder, Marc De'ath, who is cycling an incredible 170 miles from Colchester Makerspace to Spode Works Centre home to our friends the British Ceramics Biennial in Stoke-on-Trent.

— This leaves us with a goal of £4,500 to raise from our community!
