We are Colchester Makerspace, a not-for-profit, member led, creative workspace, run a small team of local artists and makers. We are seeking your support to upgrade our aging kiln.
Located at Trinity Works, we provide affordable access to a range of ceramics and printmaking equipment, including pottery wheels, kilns, silkscreens, and risographs. Our mission is to empower makers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned artists.
Our trusty kiln has served us well, but it's now reaching the end of its lifespan. We need to replace it with a more efficient and environmentally friendly model to continue fostering creativity and innovation in our community.
From young artists dreaming of turning their hobby into a career to seasoned potters exploring new techniques, by donating to our campaign, you'll help us:
- Empower local artists: Provide affordable access to essential equipment.
- Promote sustainability: Invest in eco-friendly technology.
- Inspire creativity: Foster a vibrant and supportive community of makers.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant impact on our ability to continue providing high-quality facilities and workshops.
Alternativelty, Makerspace co-founder Marc De'ath is also cycling 170 miles over 7 days, from Colchester Makerspace to Spode Works Centre in Stoke Town, home of the British Ceramic Biennale. All proceed will go toward the Kiln. You can sponsor him here: https://gofund.me/a8340194
