Randy's Recouperation
Donation protected

My name is Rochelle Judan. I am Randy Judan's sister.
On Sunday, Feb 26, my brother got in a motorcycle accident on his way home from work. He was at UCLA Westwood hospital for 4 days. He sustained a fracture on his right ulna, right elbow, sprained left wrist and right knee patellar tear.
Randy and I are closed siblings since surviving our mother's unexpected passing when I was 16 (he was 15). Our father was never around. We had always looked out for each other and continue to do so.
The accident has been extremely difficult for us. He required 24hr care for a few days (right arm in a sling, left hand being swollen and right leg has to be immobile for 6-8 weeks as the doctor ordered), which meant missing work for me as well to stay with him--from feeding, taking him to the bathroom, brushing his teeth, etc. We have been religiously elevating his left wrist to decrease the swelling since he got discharged from the hospital. It has been 4 days since then, and he is now able to feed himself with that hand. He's now able to transfer from bed to wheelchair on his own, which is a huge relief for him.
The other unfortunate side of the actual effects of the accident is that health insurance doesn't cover 100% of all the medical expenses. The adverse party of the accident also didn't have a good insurance coverage to cover the rest.
My brother has an upcoming surgery for his right ulna and right elbow fractures. Then he'll be working with a Physical Therapist until he's cleared to go back to work.
Where is your donation going?
No amount is too small to donate. Every penny is going to count. My brother and I live together in Encino. Because he's unable to work, it will be impossible to keep up with his medical bills, and monthly rent while he's on the road to recovery. So I'm asking for your help to ease this burden on us. We will be very grateful and blessed to have a helping community support this cause.
I will keep a weekly progress of his path towards a successful physical therapy. Thank you all so much!
