Tour de 4 Charity Fundraiser for Cancer

Hello, my name is Jonathan Staples and I am delighted to be joining Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour De 4 cycling fundraiser in September this year.

As a company director with 30 years service at Horsfield & Smith, my life changed overnight in November 2023 when I was diagnosed with two brain tumours, as a result of Stage 4 Melanoma.

The on-going treatment path has not been straightforward due to the many side effects. However, as I approach the end of the two year immunotherapy cycle, I am optimistic about the future.

I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way; family, friends, colleagues, clients and also the many clinicians. I believe that without the considerable and sustained advances in Melanoma treatment over the last few years, I wouldn’t be here today.
