Kelley Gonzalez is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Yesica Sanchez.

My sister Yesica, is going under preventive double mastectomy surgery in hopes to prevent breast cancer diagnosis.

In July of 2002, our mother, Rosario, lost the battle to Stage Four Breast Cancer. She was 41 years old when she left my siblings and I orphans. at this time, we were teenagers and going through the toughest times of our lives without our mother. Seen our mother battling cancer every day of her treatment was very difficult and challenging. After school and weekends we worked long hours to support ourselves. The three of us, promised to work hard, stay out of trouble and continue living the American Dream that our mother wanted for us when she immigrated to this country.

As the years passed, my brother, my sister and I have a family of our own. We are blessed to be here raising our children, something that our mother never had a chance to do.

As medical advances have improved, my sister and I, have started Breast Cancer Preventive Care; with the help of the amazing preventive care team, my sister completed theral medical examinations. Unfortunately, my sister's BRCA gene test came back with a high 23% chance of Breast Cancer. She has decided to obtain preventive double mastectomy with hopes to stop the illness before it takes over her life.

Yasick will be going under preventive surgery on March 4, 2022 in Oregon. I cannot explain how proud I am for her decision. This surgery will give her the opportunity our mother never had... My sister Yesica, will have the opportunity to see her four children, Citlali, Victor, Carlos, and Jordan grow up and share wonderful and countless memories with her husband, Isaias.

As my sister will be going under surgery we hope for generous donations as she going through recovery.
Unfortunately, the health insurance will only be covering a portion of the surgery, medical bills and other expenses, she will be taking about 8-12 weeks off work.

Breast Cancer is a monster that affects our community everyday. We hope that research keeps improving, preventive care keeps increasing and woman take action on their own health before is too late. We hope that this story reaches as many women as possible to stop Breast Cancer before its too late.

Thank you for your donation.

God Bless you and your family.
