Planting Hope: Land and Food Security for Orphaned Children

My name is Karie Brown, I am an Executive Pastry Chef and owner of a Bespoke catering company - Beverly Jean Bakeshop, a Mother, and Humanitarian. I have known Adam Mutono for almost 2 years now and we speak weekly. I am sponsoring his cause to help Orphaned children raise funds for basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, medicines and educational needs in Imuli Village, Uganda. I have met and spoken with the children via video call multiple times and Adam has become like a son to me.

It is my belief and a part of my spiritual faith to advocate and help those that are in most need. Here is Adam's story:

My name is Adam Mutono and I am the founder and director of Orphanage in Imuli Village, Uganda. At just 24 years old, I know all too well the struggles these children face. Growing up, I spent nine years living on the streets, just like many of the children I now care for. Thanks to a compassionate pastor who adopted me, I was given a second chance. However, I cannot stand by while other children continue to suffer.

Since establishing our foundation on February 5, 2018, we have dedicated ourselves to helping vulnerable children, providing counseling for those battling addiction, and supporting single mothers and the elderly in our community. We currently care for 53 children, offering them love, hope, and a chance for a better future.

However, our resources are dwindling. We often go days without food, face eviction due to unpaid rent, and struggle to provide basic necessities such as clothing and school supplies. The children lack proper educational support, which is crucial for their development and future success.

We urgently need your help to ensure that these precious children receive the care they deserve. Your contributions will help us secure a permanent home for the orphanage, provide daily meals, and supply essential educational materials.
