The Paws of Kalymnos new shelter is complete! We want to thank everyone who has already generously donated to our new facility.

As many of you know, Paws of Kalymnos decided to build a new, more secure shelter after the tragic poisoning of five of our dogs in 2024. We are pleased to announce that the new facility is situated on a beautiful piece of land where the dogs have plenty of freedom to explore. They are not confined to enclosures; instead, they have space to roam, run, and play. The new shelter has been designed to ensure the dogs are safe, happy, and comfortable throughout the year. It features secure fencing, video surveillance equipment for monitoring, and a sturdy cement structure complete with individual dog houses.

Unfortunately, the funds we've raised for the shelter thus far haven't covered all the expenses. As anyone who has taken on such an ambitious building project knows, it rarely—if ever—stays on budget. We are currently in need of donations to help cover additional building costs and winter expenses including vet bills, dog food, and other necessary supplies.
