Our Strong Dad

Hi friends, it’s Ashley and Misty, daughters of Steve and D.I. Babbey. We’re asking for a little bit of help for our parents during this difficult time. My dad was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

GBS is characterized by the rapid onset of numbness, weakness, and often paralysis of the legs, arms, breathing muscles, and face. Paralysis is ascending, meaning that it travels up the limbs from fingers and toes towards the torso. Loss of reflexes, such as the knee jerk, are usually found.

In our dad’s case it has effected his ability to walk. When his treatment is done in the hospital he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center so they can work with him everyday to regain his ability to walk. We know their medical bills are going to be steep and we are trying our best to help ease some of their burden.

We have the upmost faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we know he will be with our dad every step of the way. We also know the power of prayer is miraculous so we ask for y’all’s prayers during this time.
