We are high school seniors who are trying to make a difference in the lives of young women in Haiti. Girls in Haiti normally drop out of school when they reach menstruation age, because pads and tampons in Haiti are almost nonexistant. "No Shame, Period" seeks to provide these young women with the same educational opportunities as their male peers. We will provide girls with reusable feminine hygene kits to provide up to 3 years' coverage.  Each kit contains the followwing: 2 shields, 8 standard DfG liners, 2 pairs of underwear, 1 washcloth, 1 small soap, 2 gallon-size freezer bags, 1 pictorial instruction/menstrual chart, and 1 drawstring bag. Each kit costs us $10 to order. These kits will be distributed in Salmadre, Haiti.
