As some of you know, my sister, Karina, has systemic Lupus. In her twenties, she had to undergo chemo to suppress her immune system because the Lupus was so aggressive it was slowly killing her. She has been in remission for over 15 years. Sadly, the Lupus has reared its ugly head, and she is currently hospitalized again, fighting for her life.

In the 15 years she was in remission, Karina married and had a beautiful boy, Alton (Chi as we call him), who has autism. Chi needs around-the-clock care, which Karina and Buddy, her husband, do with a bit of help here and there.

Buddy is currently juggling his jobs, taking care of Chi, and going to the hospital to see Karina and advocate for her. His mom, some wonderful friends (Nik and Blake), Rafael and I are trying to support him as much as possible.

I am asking that if you are able to help, even with just a little bit, you please do. Money will go to buying Chi's special food, getting a cleaning service to help around the house, medical bills, etc.
