Medical expenses for Greg Lakey

Donation protected
On June 22nd, our dad, Greg Lakey, was admitted to Davis hospital and within days moved to the ICU floor. He was struggling with severe complications of COVID. Since June, he has been to death and back many times but continually proves to be a miracle and a fighter.

Greg has dealt with covid pneumonia, put on the ventilator, a tracheotomy, cellulitis, MRSA, was heavily sedated for weeks, 2 Strokes, bleeding ulcers, dehydration, kidney dialysis, and a bedsore the size of a grapefruit. Many nurses and doctors did not expect him to overcome all of the obstacles he had but he is still here today fighting! He is in long term care and since got off the ventilator and will soon have the trache taken out. He is responding and remembers so many things. Proving all the statistics wrong!

Greg's family has started this GoFundMe to not only offset the medical expenses but to continue one of his favorite traditions of Halloween with a yard display. He has always loved Halloween for years! He enjoys decorating and creating new things every year. His favorite is watching the faces of enjoyment from those who visit his Halloween display. Greg still has months to go but will be returning next Halloween to continue proving all the doctors wrong and show that he is not only a fighter but a miracle in himself!

It's been a rough year for so many.. And we never thought the unthinkable would happen. 2021 has shown to be a challenging year for our family but has prove that faith and love can create miracles!
