Medical and funeral costs for Mick Smith

Dear friends,

Our family is reeling from the sudden and heartbreaking loss of our beloved Mick Smith after a brief but fierce battle with stomach cancer. He was taken from us far too soon, at just 44 years old, and he leaves behind a loving wife (Miranda), two amazing daughters (Rubi and Hazel), and a family that relied on his support.

We are raising funds to cover his medical bills and funeral costs. We are also hoping to help his family cover some of their bills as they try to navigate this loss and adjust to life without Mick. This was his second battle with cancer, and the costs of multiple hospital stays, chemotherapy, and related medications are significant.

If you were lucky enough to know Mick, you already know what a wonderful man he was. You got caught up in his infectious laugh and felt the instant warmth that he brought into every interaction. You saw how devoted he was to his wife, Miranda. You heard him talk about how much he loved his two girls, Rubi and Hazel, and how proud he was of everything they do.

If you didn’t personally know Mick, trust us when we tell you that he was kind, generous, honest, hilarious, and the sort of person everyone should have in their life.

Mick meant the world to all of us. He was the youngest brother of a close-knit Irish family, with many nieces and nephews who saw him as much as a friend as a cherished uncle. He was a husband, a father, a son, a friend, and an inspiration. Please help us make sure that his beloved wife and children have the resources they need to get through this awful time.
