Making The Blok DFW's First 24 Hour Climbing Gym

The Blok has come a long way since we first opened our doors almost 2 years ago. What started as a dream has grown into a real community, and it’s because of all of you that we’ve made it this far. We’re finally starting to round the corner financially, which means we can shift from just keeping the lights on to actually building out the experience our members, YOU, deserve.

One of the things people ask about most is extended hours, especially early in the morning. We’d love nothing more than to make that happen, but you all know there's only three (sometimes four) of us to staff the desk around the clock, and 13-14 hours a day already has us all stretched as thin as we can be. BUT... we've done the legwork and found a solution so you can climb whenever it works best for you, whether that’s early before work, late at night, or somewhere in between, and it also lets the Brooks Family retain some amount of "work" - life balance.

The only thing standing in the way is the upfront cost of converting the gym to 24/7. We're taking on additional monthly overhead to get these systems in place but, instead of raising membership prices for all of you that have been so loyal to us, we’re hoping to fund the upfront cost together through this campaign. Every contribution goes directly toward making 24/7 access a reality. Everyone that is a member before our 24/7 access goes live will be grandfathered in at their current membership rate (see below for clarification).

All existing members will gain extended access when 24/7 access launches for no additional fee, details for the access for each membership type are below:

**Members CAN bring guests outside of general public hours, but their guest must purchase a day pass and check-in at the kiosk. No guest passes can be used outside of general public hours.**

Total investment cost - $4,500

We don't want to raise your dues, and 24/7 access will be coming regardless of how much funding we raise from this, but we also know our community would probably like to see this happen as soon as possible, and this GoFundMe serves to get this launched ASAP for you all.
