July 9th Storm Damage to our home

Hi my name is Laura. On July 9th a flash flood severely damaged the foundation & footers of our home, our septic system, our deck, our yard & our front walkway. While the flood water didn’t enter the inside of the house, the damage is so severe that a codes inspector has deemed our home uninhabitable. Our insurance company has denied the claim based on grounds that we didn’t have flood insurance. We are absolutely devastated! We have reached out to state & local organizations, but it could take months to receive any financial assistance from them. Our family has been uprooted & displaced. We’re fortunate to be staying with family as we navigate these uncharted waters.

This situation has been overwhelming, to say the least. It really hurts our pride to even ask for help but we know we have no other option this point. Every little bit helps & please know that we will use any money raised to fix the damages to our home & property.
