Accident left JP Garcia In Critical Condition!!
Donation protected
On Sunday, November 10th, 2019 my wife Kelly and I received a call from JP’s girlfriend Lisa. JP was in a tragic motorcycle accident on his Harley and was being air lifted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas in critical condition.
When we arrived to the emergency room, we were told he suffered multiple injuries and has bleeding in front and the sides of his brain, 2 skull fractures, c7 vertebrae fracture, extensive ligament damage around his c7 vertebrae, a broken nose, broken collar bone, broken scapula, 4 broken ribs and road rash all along his left side. JP had his helmet on, which he was always adamant about wearing. It took the first few initial impacts, but came off during the accident. Upon arrival he was immediately put into a medical induced coma and was intubated.
Given the severity of his injuries, we knew there was a chance JP might not pull through this. BUT, with lots of prayers, including the skilled medical team at Sunrise Hospital, & JP’s strong will to survive...we were hopeful.
Currently, JP is off his ventilator and breathing on his own. His eyes are occasionally open & he is responding to questions with limited mobility of head nods and single words. JP has a long way to go and is in considerable pain, but this is an amazing step towards recovery the last 5 days. He remains in critical, yet stable condition.
JP does not have medical insurance, nor does he qualify for state assistance. Due to the extent of his injuries, JP and Lisa will have a long recovery ahead of them, incurring tens of thousands of dollars in medical expenses along the way.
Although JP doesn’t like asking for help, we feel he and Lisa would truly appreciate it. If you feel led to donate, please use this go-fund me account to do so.
If you are unable to make a financial donation, please share this and keep JP & Lisa in your prayers.
Thanks in advance!!
