Jamo’s Eye Surgery
Donation protected
Hi Everyone! Jameson is a five month old English bulldog puppy who loves to eat endlessly, play at the beach, and snore like a chainsaw right in mommy's ear. He is a happy-go-lucky pup with his whole life ahead of him! Every person Jameson meets on our adventures he runs up to them with his wiggly, wrinkly butt and captures their heart. He was born with an eye birth defect in his right eye known as a corneal dermoid cyst. This rare birth defect occurs when the skin cells grow on the eye which occurs during embryonic development through defective tissue differentiation. The cyst will continue to grow and could lead to further complications, such as ulceration of the eye, eyelid irritation, and eventual vision loss. It is imperative he has the surgery as soon as he is six months old to increase the longevity of his eye health as a lot of english bulldogs endure various eye issues throughout their lifetime. The surgery is very expensive due to it's rarity of the defect so only a select few ophthalmic veterinarian surgeons can perform the surgery. Because Jameson was born with the cyst pet insurance does not help cover the consultation, surgery, or post-operative care. All of the funds raised will go directly to Jameson's surgery and his post-operative care. Any donation will help to ensure Jameson can live a happy, healthy life and see the world around him!
