Winnie

Hi,

I am Katie, also known as the rescuer of all creatures great and small. As some of you may know we took in a stray that had been living on our street and surrounding area for at least twelve months. Me, being me couldn't turn her away - l wasn't going to keep her you know. We did everything in our power to locate her original owners, months passed and we heard nothing. No microchip, nothing. We have done everything that is right for, what she is now known as , Winnie.

We had four, yes four vet neutering appointments scheduled for Winnie and all were rescheduled. We did everything we could to keep her in but she got out! Fast forward to now, a very round Winnie. Winnie went into labour two days ago. It became apparent that she was having difficulties and with all the will in the world there was nothing l could do to help her or her unborn kitten, which was stuck in her birth canal. We rushed her to an out of hours vet, where they removed the kitten and another sadly both passed. Now, she has at least another four and with heartbeats (or there was this until this morning). She is currently VERY unwell (dehydration, temp and onset of sepsis) and having a c-section, spay and fluids. We are unsure if she or any of the kittens will survive. I have been asked by many to set up this page, so far as of today my bill has stood at £800.00. This is set to rise as l will also need to hand rear any surviving kittens and pay for any ongoing treatment for Winnie. So here is is, if any of you wish to donate 50p, £1, £5, anything you can, l would be so grateful. I'm just glad she came to us as she will be loved and cared for, and she will be staying with us forever. We just need her to pull through. Thank you in advance all :-)
