My Story

"The Ronald McDonald House kept my family together during the first year of my sister's life. We lived hours away from the only hospital that could perform the open-heart surgeries she needed; staying at the House made it possible for my whole family to connect with and support my new baby sister throughout that first year of her life. The community, intentional connection, and organization that the Ronald McDonald House provided gave my parents enough peace of mind to focus on our family and medical concerns.

Without the services the Ronald McDonald House provided, my family would have experienced a year of loneliness and separation. Every spare minute my parents had would have been spent driving to and from the hospital, my sister wouldn't have known her siblings or her dad, and I wouldn't have seen my mom for months at a time. We would have been separated from each other and the community that the Ronald McDonald House provides." - Samantha

Ronald McDonald House of Dallas

They provide essential services that remove economic barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. They support the health and well-being of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment in the Dallas area by providing their families a home-away-from-home at no cost. In an effort to reduce stress, keep families intact, and enhance the lives of those in residence, the House allows families to re-establish some sort of normalcy. It also provides them with the opportunity to share their concerns with those who are in similar situations and can truly understand what they are experiencing.

Supporting families during difficult times can make a real difference. Every contribution helps provide comfort, meals, and a place to stay for families who need it most. Below are some examples of how donations can directly support families:

$25 provides one night of comfort supplies for a family

$50 provides meals for a family for a full day

$100 covers one night in the House

$500 supports multiple families for an entire week

$1,600 provides 16 nights of housing

$3,000 covers nearly a full month of housing and meals for multiple families
