Honor Shanee's Dream: Preserve Our Family's Legacy

Donation protected
Hi everyone!

I'm Abria Bonner, the granddaughter of James and Betty. When I think about my childhood, some of my most fondest memories are at my grandparents' home in Ditch Pond. My grandmother loved hosting people and welcomed everyone with open arms. She was "Grandma Betty" to everyone and no matter who you were when you stepped into their home, you were family. This title was well earned because she had a gift that made you feel like you were special enough to listen to. Years later, I can still hear my grandfather's laugh. My grandfather's toys were his pride and joy, and when I think about what his home meant to him, I'm flooded with memories of his beautiful garden, helping him put up 10,000 Christmas lights and coming home from school to see him riding on his lawn mower. I think about all the holidays, summer BBQs and even the simplest of times spent at their home and immediately feel overwhelmed with love. They spent the latter years of their lives doing exactly what they wanted, and making the people they cared about feel love and joy. They loved their home and there was no feeling like being there.

Their absence is something that many of us will never get used to. Some of you may know that the house that was once filled to the brim with laughter and love is now at risk of being a total loss, as there was no estate plan in place following the passing of my grandmother. Furthermore, our family continues to face tough times, including the recent passing of my dear cousin, Shanee'. Before her passing, Shanee' was planning to inherit their estate. One of our last conversations involved Shanee's enthusiasm for the upcoming holidays, as she planned to get the entire family together like "old times". Although many of our loved ones are no longer physically present, their lives and legacies continue with us. Our family history and legacy is currently at risk of being lost and we need your help. Please help by donating money toward the costs of petitioning the court to keep what rightfully belongs to us. 100% of the money you donate will go toward this process, as we will have to file two petitions, amounting to about $860.

Our beloved Shanee' was born on February 6th. She may not have gotten the opportunity to revive their home but let's celebrate her birthday by making her dream a reality. There is no amount that is too small. Let's make our dearly departed family members smile. If my grandparent(s) have ever helped you, made you feel good, made you laugh, etc., a dontation would be a beautiful way to honor that. Thank you for your consideration, and may God bless and keep you.
