We are appealing to help save the Blackpool Airgamez!
The Airgamez is an annual BASE jumping event and the only UK competition of it’s kind, held on the iconic South Shore area of Blackpool seafront.
The Airgamez was brought to the South Shore area by local BASE Jumper, Julian Deplidge. After seeing the need for some fresh and inspiring entertainment for children and adults alike, he worked tirelessly alongside the local council to deliver what has been a phenomenal event.
We have now been running the Airgamez in South Shore for 4 consecutive years, giving the local people an incredible free event, with live parachute displays, aerial acrobatics and accurate target landings for all to watch. In addition, we run slack lining master classes for children to get involved and try something different. With a live DJ, and plenty of music and fun, the Airgamez truly brings everyone in Blackpool together, with this one of a kind weekend.
Over 300 experienced BASE Jump Competitors have travelled from across the globe to attend the event. In the last 4 years, they have completed a staggering 2600+ jumps from the specially erected 480ft crane. Each year, they alone spend circa £50,000 in the local community, on accommodation, dining and shopping. They meet with the children, explain the sport and prove what dedication and ambition can achieve.
Until now, the Airgamez has been self funded, however the time has come where that is no longer an option. We negotiated fantastic rates with local companies who provide our event support, but even with this, we can't continue to produce the festival in South Shore without some support from the community.
Any donations you can provide will go a long way in helping us bring back the Airgamez. It's fantastic weekend, providing plenty of fun and energy to South Shore, and is greatly appreciated by all members of the community. Watch the video! Visit our facebook page for more Airgamez info!
