I met Steve on the streets of London three years ago after he had been evicted.
He is an ordinary, working person that has morals and ethics, and likes to help people.
Over time, I was able to ascertain that Steve does not drink, or take drugs, but in spite of having a caseworker, he is considered low priority to house and hence is forced to beg on the street in all weathers.
After a fundraiser, I got funds for him to put a deposit on a room, which he is about to move into, but he is still won't get any benefits for a few weeks. This means he is still relying on spare change given to him on the street. I am trying to raise enough for him to get regular food.
Steve is emaciated, living on packet noodles, and has long covid.
