Helping a family economically through a tough time

Hi everyone! Thank you for clicking in ❤️Behind this fundraiser is the aunts of Seline and Isak. The reason for starting this gofundme is because I have seen a lot of you asking to help in any type of way. Svenns family have never intended or expected to get any economical benefits from driving the instagram page @svenntheotter.
so now to the story:
This February our family was told some heartbreaking news. Isak, our 5 year old nephew was diagnosed with leukodystrophy. After several tests we now have the final diagnosis. The proven disease is called  the 4H-syndrome. Due to the disease, Isak is missing myelin in his body. Myelin is protecting the nervous system, and since he doesn’t have myelin, he will at last lose all functions of his body. 

Isak is today energetic, and healthy. He does not have too many symptoms yet. It can be seen on his motor skills and balance. But over all he is a very functioning and happy boy.

Isak’s 9 year old big sister Seline was also tested for the diagnosis, and in August they got their results back. As feared it was positive.. Now they’re not only facing one of their kids with this deadly disease, but both of them. Seline thankfully does not show a lot of symptoms yet.

This is a very serious diagnosis, and there is today no cure nor treatment for it. The disease is known for shortening the lifespan by a lot. It is currently 5 people with the diagnosis in Norway, and Isak and Seline are two of them. It has been registered about 200 cases worldwide, so it is a veery rare disease.  If you want to read more about it, feel free to google for more information.

As most of you know, the family has been taking  Svenn in as a part of their family. This has been an amazing experience for the whole family! Svenn has given them so much love, experience and happiness. But it has also been very time consuming and it has taken a lot from them economically as well. After the family got the diagnosis on Isak, their everyday life has been turned upside down. So doing what’s best for Svenn, they decided to give him a new forever home. He is now living in a small family park (namskogan familiepark). 
Svenn has the company of another otter there as well! It is of course super sad for the family that Svenn is not living with them anymore, but it is also what was necessary. They can also visit Svenn as much as they’d like! 

The reason for this fundraiser is so the family of 4 can be able to travel and experience things, without being dragged down by the economical part. That way they can focus on filling the time with joy and happiness while the children are still healthy and does not have a lot of symptoms yet. 

Being the aunt of the children in this situation is very hard. It’s very difficult to understand, cause it’s so uncalled for.. you feel very helpless, cause there is nothing you can do. You hurt for the children, the parents and yourself. Seline and Isak are the sweetest, most loving children ever! They are so compassionate, and they wouldn’t hurt a fly. They both have a huge interest in animals, and they pretty much have a mini-zoo at home! They have three pugs, two rabbits and 8 hens ❤ I just want to express how much they deserve, and I want them to have the best life they possibly can get. <3

All of the money that will be raised will go to travels and experiences for Seline and Isak, and the money will be transferred directly to the parents.
