We live in a world where sometimes there is gross injustice. We live in a world where an employee can damage your reputation and sometimes cause great harm to your career. We live in a world where recovery from a wrong is made very difficult by “rules” that are in existence.
Well, most of you now the story of how Hamada was wrongly prosecuted and because of the jury asking the judge if the dentist is responsible for what his employees do, and the judge answering yes, he had to serve a mandatory 2 year prison term for identity theft because his front desk billed work done on his father under his associates name. TWO YEARS… for that! He lost everything, his house, his practice, his car and all his belongings. The legal bills bankrupted him. He has nothing.
Since he was convicted, wrong or not, they suspended his dental license. Now that he’s out, the Dental Board won’t review getting his license reactivated until September at the earliest. They won’t let him travel to Las Vegas so he can instruct to help him financially. They won’t let him work in his friend’s dental office. He finds himself is a situation where he is unable to support himself. It’s a sad case where the injustice done against Hamada is compounded by the rules against felons. Yes… a felon because his father’s work was billed under his associate.
For those of you who know Hamada, he would be the last one to ask for help. In fact, he has no idea about this site. But his friends at LVI want to help him until he can get back on his feet. So please, donate what you can to help Hamada get through this tough time. Even if it’s just a small amount. And all I can say is that if some of you were in trouble, Hamada would have been the first to help you out.
Thank you for caring about his wonderful person.
Best,
Bill Dickerson
