Hi. My name is Kimberly DeWeese. I'm a volunteer at Take Me Home Pet Rescue. One of our most dedicated fosters had the most devastating weekend and she needs your help. I'm going to tell you that the next few paragraphs are heart-wrenching. You can just skip to the part where you help her rebuild because she has a beautiful heart and she needs your help. Tina Peterson had a house fire this weekend. She was out, but her fur family was home. House fires are horrible. Losing all of your possessions, many of which are irreplaceable, is so hard. But, Tina is a pet person. I didn't choose the photo on the cover because that is a special dog. I chose it because, to be honest, I don't know that I've EVER seen Tina's full face. She is always cuddling some dog or cat - her own - or even more likely, it is one that we've saved and is getting a chance because of her to know love and a forever home. Her heart has always been so big.

 

Unfortunately, Tina lost 2 of her dogs and 1 of her cats immediately. The sweet firemen even pulled them out and attempted to revive them outside. One of her foster puppies, Sam, also died in the fire. Two dogs and two cats were rushed to the vet for smoke inhalation. Last night, she lost one of the dogs.  She still has 2 cats and a dog fighting for their lives. Her vet bill overnight has already reached the thousands.

 

Between, vet bills, insurance deductibles, work absences, and trips to and from the vet, this will be expensive and sad.

 

Please help Tina cover these bills so she can focus on her dear pet, deal with this tragedy, and handle all the ridiculous administration that will come with this fire without debt. Help her heal and rebuild. Thank you.
