The Stevens family has suffered an unimaginable loss. On Tuesday, September 30th, their precious almost 3-month-old baby Yusef passed away at LA Children’s Hospital, shortly after being diagnosed with a rare neonatal cancer. Yusef had been hospitalized for over a week to investigate concerning symptoms. In the course of normal treatment, his heart stopped and the doctors were not able to revive him. Yusef's parents, Megan and Samiu, and two grandparents were also at the hospital and all were grateful for how hard the doctors worked to save Yusef’s life.

The Stevens family is understandably devastated and is now facing significant costs. This is especially difficult for this family right now, as Samiu was severely injured at work a few years ago, which has left him relying on a wheelchair and unable to work.
