Help Stray Cats & Kittens in Beirut – Every Life Matters

Hi, I’m Olivia. For almost a year, I’ve been traveling to Beirut, and I’ve seen firsthand how not only people but also animals suffer due to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon and the Middle East. Many cats were abandoned when families had to leave their homes, but sadly, this isn’t a new issue—kittens are regularly dumped and left to die in the city.

Meow Petstore (www.meowlb.com) is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming stray cats in Beirut. They provide food, medical care, and find loving homes for these abandoned animals.

The kitten in the photo is just one heartbreaking example. Left in a box with its siblings, this kitten miraculously survived after the box was run over by a car. A kind passerby rushed it to Meow Petstore, where it received medical care, food, and, eventually, a safe home. Unfortunately, this is just one of many similar stories.

This Ramadan, I’m raising funds to support the rescue and care of stray and abandoned cats in Beirut. I may not be able to change the world, but I can help stop the suffering of these innocent animals and give them the chance to live.
