Help Starburst Shine — Cherry Eye Surgery Fund
Starburst came to Cincinnati Animal Care as a stray and has been patiently waiting for her chance at a forever home. Starburst is estimated to be around one year old — still a puppy — and the shelter is no place for her to grow up. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl with so much love to give, and she deserves the chance to be seen beyond a treatable condition.
Unfortunately, Starburst has cherry eye in one eye. Cherry eye is a condition where the third eyelid becomes swollen and protrudes. While it’s often considered cosmetic, it can become uncomfortable and more complicated the longer it goes untreated. Because of limited resources, this is not a procedure the county shelter is able to cover — and sadly, it’s often enough to cause potential adopters to pass her by.
That’s where this fundraiser comes in.
Starburst cannot receive cherry eye surgery until she is adopted, but by raising funds in advance, we can remove this barrier entirely and give her the best possible chance at finding her forever family. The goal is simple: make sure her future humans can say “yes” to her, without hesitation.
How the funds will be used:
Upon Starburst’s adoption, I will work directly with her adopter to ensure these funds are sent straight to the veterinary clinic performing the procedure.
This is a small fix with a big impact — your support helps ensure Starburst is seen for who she is, not overlooked for something treatable.
