Help Reuben go to 2025 Ski Cross Junior World Championships.

Hello,

My name is Reuben Jeffers. I am 16 years old, and I am a Ski Cross athlete based out of Girdwood, Alaska. I am currently looking at fundraising, so I can compete at future Olympics such as Milano Cortina in 2026. My ultimate goal is to win gold for USA at the Olympics at Salt Lake City, Utah in 2034.

Ski Cross

For those who are new to Ski Cross, Ski Cross is an Olympic sport that mixes Alpine Racing and Motocross. Athletes race four at a time down course with bank turns, rollers, and jumps. Athletes do multiple heats. First to the bottom wins.

My story

The moment I started skiing I fell in love with it. I remember watching World Cup Alpine with my family at a very early age. I can remember just how fascinated I was with the precision and the speed they moved with. It was beautiful and thrilling. I remember telling my dad in that moment, “That's what I want to do when I grow up. I want to race.” It just blows my mind to see how God has blessed me from that moment. Several years later, I found Ski Cross. I have loved Ski Cross with a passion. What I want more than anything is to use God’s gift and purpose in my life and glorify him. Now after years of blood, sweat, and tears I am closer than ever. This year, I am currently ranked 2nd in the World for my age at 16 years old for Ski Cross. I am also ranked 7th out of all ages in the USA.

The moment I realized I needed help to achieve my Olympic dreams was in 2024 after receiving an opportunity to compete at Ski Cross Junior World Championships for team USA. Unfortunately, despite all the hard work I could not afford to go on this trip. This was so heartbreaking for me. I missed out on what would have been the biggest event so far of my young career because of expenses. I was also not able to compete at other crucial races because of expenses. This is despite working a fulltime job on top of working out 4-5 days a week, doing school, 5 days a week on snow, and doing my part in my family life.

Because of this, I need help. My current goal for next season is 15,000 dollars. The following are all events that will help me get to my Olympic goal. These races will give me the points and experience I need to compete at big events like the Olympics in the future.

Funds

Ski Cross Junior World Championships $9,000 This is my biggest race of the year. This race will help expose me to what it takes to compete with the best. (This includes travel, food, and club costs. Does not include registration)

Nor-am Finals $4,000 This is my biggest race of the year behind Ski Cross Junior World Championships. This will help me get points and experience. (This includes travel, food, and club costs. Does not include registration)

Early season training $2,000 This will allow me to do early season training, so I am fresh for my first race in November (This includes travel, food, and club costs)
